Experience

Is your elementary student feeling neglected in their classroom and struggling to grasp grade level concepts? Do they require a hands-on and exciting learning method? Would individual and specialized instruction help them succeed? Then this is the time to help set them on the right track for the rest of their student career. I specialize in Elementary Education and have worked with students in all core subject areas. I am able to help students who are struggling with reading comprehension, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, fluency, math, science, and social studies. My love for education was fostered at an early age when my magnificent 2nd grade teacher took me under her wing and dedicated her summers to being my tutor. This generous gesture helped turn a low performing student into a collegiate Cum Laude graduate. The care and dedication shown to me as a young child has helped mold my view of education and makes me strive to help others grow to their full potential. With over eight years of experience studying and working in the education field I have been afforded many opportunities that allow me to provide students with a well-rounded approach to learning. I have a certified Ohio Teaching License as an Intervention Specialist and in Early Childhood Education, and have also received a reading endorsement in accordance with the Third Grade Guarantee. I spent three years as a 3rd-5th grade Intervention Specialist during which time I worked with students encompassing a wide range of academic abilities. I provided differentiated instruction as to meet each student at his or her level. With my time working in special education I am fluent in IEPs/504s, and understand the value and importance of working with students to meet these personal goals. In addition to my classroom teaching experience I spent four years tutoring students in a range of settings, from private schools to the Juvenile Corrections Facility. Through these unique experiences I have developed skills that allow me to connect with students from diverse backgrounds, and build the rapport necessary to support students on their path to success. I welcome the opportunity to talk with you and your student about the ways I can support them in making their academic dreams come true. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a complimentary 30-minute meet and greet please feel free to e-mail me. Thank you for your time! Sincerely, Bryan
